The family had already spent time at the property in Dickens Heath and had sorted and removed items of value and sentimental items. Our job was to remove items from the house and garage areas so the property could be sold.

This home was full of hoarded items. We found rooms crammed full of ornaments, clothing, pictures, CDs. Kitchen cabinets were stuffed to the brim with grocers bags,Tupperware and crockery. In additional there were many tins out of date food. The challenge we faced was to sort through and then remove all these items from the home.

The family had asked us to keep an eye out for items that may have sentimental value that they might have missed. Tucked away in a hope chest we found a wedding dress dating back to 1949. Mixed in with winter coats in one closet we found one of the husbands dress uniform from the Royal Air Force.

The family had spent a great deal of time going through belongings, and said they wouldn’t have ever found these items connecting them to their families heritage without our help. They praised us for not blindly filling rubbish bags without giving thought to what these items might mean to them.
