Our customer had inherited this home that was packed full of items that had been collected and horded over many years. Desperate to get the home emptied and completely overwhelmed by the size and scale of work that needed doing they contacted Berkeley House Clearance. We allocated 3 days to complete this property clearance.

A hoarded house clearance is physically demanding, and this job was no exception. The weight and volume of the items that needed to be removed made this job more physically demanding and labour intensive than usual. In addition this home had succumbed to damp and mould therefore it was necessary to wear masks and other PPE. Which made the job even more challenging!

We removed all manner of household items, clutter and a lots of general waste from this property. The items we removed included paper bills, magazines, clothing, linens and materials. Because of the condition of these items in the home most items were considered unsuitable for recycling and had to be taken directly to landfill. In addition there were DVD’s, CDs and some other bits of bric-a-brac and kitchen items which we delivered to our local charity shop.

After a lot of lifting and carrying and many trips to our waste disposal facility we finally completed this job. Then we sat down for a well earned rest and several cups of tea!
